Essential Electrical Improvements

Essential electrical maintenance improvements will be taking place across the whole centre, ongoing, from now until October.

We will do our best with scheduling to minimise any disruption to services, however there may be times when some areas are affected, and temporarily out of use.

Any closures to specific areas of the centre will be publicised with posters and information on our website news page at the time they are going to occur.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we invest in our centre.

Swimming Lessons Beginner Stages

We are making some minor changes to the way our beginner classes are structured within our swimming lessons programme. Currently our beginners enter at a stage 2 level, with stage 1 being used for the pre-school beginners.

Starting from today we will be gradually reintroducing stage 1 as a school age beginner class, with all pre-school children within our duckling classes.

The structure will be as follows:
• Duckling classes levels 1-4 – Pre-school children.
• Stage 1 – Beginner school age children, with no experience of lessons and/or a fear of the water working on water confidence.
• Stage 2 – Beginner school age children who are water confident working towards swimming 5M.

These changes will not affect your child’s access to a lesson, we will endeavour to ensure all children remain at the same time they are currently booked, although some teacher alterations may be necessary.

The changes should mostly go unnoticed by the children, but if you have any concerns relating to these changes, please email

Member Class Booking Charges

Please be advised in light of recent challenges with regular non-attendance, from 20th May, charges will be applied to members who are regularly failing to attend their booked classes.  This has been our policy for many years, and we know this might seem strict, but it ensures fairness for all our members.

We are receiving an increased volume of complaints from frustrated customers who have been unable to book spaces, only to find out others who had booked did not turn up.  The charge will be for the full price of the class that was booked (typically £9.45).

Please note if you are attending multiple classes, you do need to swipe the barrier ahead of each class for it to register that you have attended.

We understand that life can get busy, so if you can't make it to a class, please be sure to cancel in advance of the class to avoid charges. This way, you're not only helping us manage class availability, but also opening up spots for others who may be eager to join.

Your booking helps us shape our timetable to offer the classes you love most.  Classes with low booking numbers could be at risk of being removed from the timetable, so remember, to book your classes up to 8 days in advance on our website or 7 days in advance through our reception team.

If you have any questions or need assistance with this please email and we'll be happy to help.

Thank you for your understanding.

Car Parking on Double Yellow Lines and Disabled Bays

Please be advised that all double yellow lined areas and disabled parking around the building are monitored, and any vehicles parking without a valid blue badge will be ticketed.  Parking in this area causes inconvenience to our disabled users and restricts access for emergency vehicles.

The car park is totally free for members, you can drive straight in and collect a token from reception to exit.

For centre users it is just £1.20 for all day parking and for non users of the centre, £3 for all day parking.

Thank you for your cooperation.
