Member Class Booking Charges

Please be advised in light of recent challenges with regular non-attendance, from 20th May, charges will be applied to members who are regularly failing to attend their booked classes.  This has been our policy for many years, and we know this might seem strict, but it ensures fairness for all our members.

We are receiving an increased volume of complaints from frustrated customers who have been unable to book spaces, only to find out others who had booked did not turn up.  The charge will be for the full price of the class that was booked (typically £9.45).

Please note if you are attending multiple classes, you do need to swipe the barrier ahead of each class for it to register that you have attended.

We understand that life can get busy, so if you can't make it to a class, please be sure to cancel in advance of the class to avoid charges. This way, you're not only helping us manage class availability, but also opening up spots for others who may be eager to join.

Your booking helps us shape our timetable to offer the classes you love most.  Classes with low booking numbers could be at risk of being removed from the timetable, so remember, to book your classes up to 8 days in advance on our website or 7 days in advance through our reception team.

If you have any questions or need assistance with this please email

eastbourneleisure@lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk and we'll be happy to help.

Thank you for your understanding.
